Architecture is a value for my feelings, thought, human activities. It is a language, visual statement, a place that is integrated with material whether tangible or intangible. The discipline guides my daily activities, the way I look the world around me. To be able to engage with the design world around me, I believe that it starts with building my career path around this value. The value of connecting people, giving them the healthy environment that they can enjoy, producing innovative, aesthetic and functional aspects of design and the accurate management skills are my key merits that I pursue during my architecture profession.
Studying at Bilkent University, given me a solid foundation of intellectual and architectural design quality. The process of designing practical solutions and achievements for human being needs the elaborate decisions on changing and evolving on comfort, convenience and aesthetic appeal within the natural environment. These ideologies were my influence on my projects and study in architecture. Art and extracurricular activities helped me grow as a designer to explore and develop my vision. I am interested in sustainable architecture due to the impact on people and communities. I enjoy combining materials and techniques to achieve sustainable design.
I had experience of summer practice both on construction site and architectural office. These two different experience made me understand the phases of architecture needs the strong management of people and communication. I saw different sides of the profession and to able to produce better and being yourself in a creative manner comes within listening and understanding the client, consultants. I did physical work on construction site which enabled the communication with the workers, their role of in this building process. I talked with the engineers and tried to understand their role and work. I am passionate to learn every participant of the work and how to manage them all accordingly. In my office practice, I was able to communicate with the client, material expertise, roof expertise and engineers and their vision of producing a work and how they orient their career paths and their works. Consequently the importance of dialogue clients , architects and other consultants has the impact on design process and challenges during the project.
